You can’t not run outside when you hear twin radials on climb out. Damn cool, I’ve never seen one.
Also, we seem to have a Pilatus PC-12 flying in and out regularly now, seen it twice in the last week. Seems that’s more common elsewhere in the world, but is another aircraft I’ve never seen until now.

The PC-12 is my dream plane. Maybe only second to the new PC-24 or a Phenom 300.

Bearing in mind when they were built I’d be surprised if these were the worst pictures

Whoa - you mean an L10 Electra, then? I’ve never seen one of those (the L-188 Electra is very different, 4 engine turboprop that’s also the base for the P-3 Orion).
There’s a Pilatus pilot on here, BTW- turbineguy. He loves that aircraft.

Gorram Amelia and Fred slipping through the time portal again. They’re doing it to annoy you.

Yeah, the original! Super cool. Interestingly, I have seen a P-3 AWACS fly out of here sometimes.
The Pilatus certainly looks cool, and I remember reading about it a bit from someone here.

I thought I felt a disturbance. Wait, 5 TBM Avengers just flew by and the horizon looks funny...

That’s really cool - I go to Oshkosh regularly, and I don’t recall seeing an original Electra, they’re rare. There’s some pretty famous people associated with that one - Amelia Earhart, of course, but Kelly Johnson had a hand in the design.

The Bermuda Triangle is one of many locations things disappear. The Fresno County Rectangle is where things reappear for no reason before flying out to sea.

This is partially true. There is a lot of long-lost shit hiding out there. Old cars everywhere, at least. If our imaginary drive-around-with-a-trailer-and-cash scheme ever comes to fruition, I’m starting in the San Joaquin Valley.

I think we’ll have to use all our pointless university-taught optimization schemes to decide just which things are stupid enough to pick up, because I expect stark competition.
“Okay, but see, we can take on the Crosley Farm-O-Road because we’ll have some time in August to redo the engine while the Packard 120 dual cowl’s canvas top is off for repairs. We should probably pick up the Nash hearse later. Look at the Gantt chart.”

That is awesome!
That is a Model 10 right? I prefer the L-188. Turboprops make my pants tight

Yep. Radials do that to mine.

Don’t forget, the Continental’s bumpers are out for chrome too, but that moves under its own power so can move to the barn (we’re going to have a storage barn) to make room for the Nash in the shop. Or I can move both of the Bantams.

I’ve got plans for the cover we had set aside for the red Bantam - got some parts coming in to put an Aussie bed on the ‘37 Willys.

I thought it was just one at first, but yeah. Any radial must be witnessed.
